ABOUT DESIGNER

Maartje Dijkstra (1982) is a Dutch fashion designer with a fashion and technology studio based in Rotterdam The Netherlands. She studied at ARTEZ Arnhem (NL) where she graduated as a Bachelor in Fashion Design. She did an internship at the company of Alexander McQueen in London, where her interests in couture developed.

In 2008 she started her own couture and technology label, where she designs sculptural, progressive and hand-executed fashion collections, jewelry items and interactive couture pieces.

Important elements within her individualistic work is that she combines innovative technology with embroidery techniques , bombastic shapes in design and special material use.

All the pieces in this shop are handprinted, meaning using a 3D print pen as a tool to create structers, fabrics and shapes.
